Metal Samsung Galaxy Alpha Arrives in September

Metal Samsung Galaxy Alpha Arrives in September

Samsung is no longer living in a plastic world: The tech giant today unveiled the new metal-framed Galaxy Alpha smartphone.
The latest Galaxy flagship device comes with a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display and advanced camera features, housed within a metal frame with curved corners and soft back cover.
With an almost iPhone-like design, the Alpha stands at less than 7mm thick—one of the slimmest Galaxy devices ever.

The new handset sports a 1,280-by-720-pixel display, a 12-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front shooter. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and includes features like ultra power-saving mode, S Health, fingerprint scanner, private mode, and connectivity with Samsung's wearables.
Those specs aren't quite as impressive as what's found on the Galaxy S5 $89.99 at Amazon
, which sports a 1920-by-1080-pixel screen and has a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. But Samsung CEO JK Shin said the "Galaxy Alpha was built and designed based on the specific desires of the consumer market."

"With an entirely new appearance, the Galaxy Alpha focuses on both beauty and functionality," Shin continued, "combining a stunning metal frame and slim, lightweight design with the same powerful hardware and features users expect from a flagship Galaxy mobile device."
It also comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB port, and NFC capability. And while the phone boasts 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, there is no micro SD slot for expandable space.
The Galaxy Alpha launches in early September, available in charcoal black, dazzling white, frosted gold, sleek silver, and scuba blue. An exact date and pricing was not revealed.

Though Samsung has traditionally used plastic for its top smartphones, a metal Galaxy handset has been rumored for months, bolstered by the company's trademark of the "Galaxy Alpha" name earlier this year.
Rivals like Apple, HTC, and Sony have already embraced more premium materials like metal and glass.

The Galaxy Alpha will be launched in Indian Market any time sooner..
